joyce knew what she was doing when she taught will how to dance with his partner as the lead after hearing mike’s speech in the shed. just teaching will how to dance with another boy at all instead of with a girl is amazing, because joyce is amazing, but it’s also very sweet and funny that she was scheming like that because she KNOWS mike. like of course he’d lead. that’s his whole thing. she probably expected will to come home from the snow ball with a boyfriend one way or another
miles is taller than 42-miles because of his spider bite. This is like when your younger brother have a grow spurt and now are slightly taller than you.
“They’re the same height”-“It’s just his hair”- “he’s slouching”- no, you guys are not thinking silly enough. There’s obviously better explanation.
edit: please do not reply to any transphobes in the comments or fight in my notes. i will block all parties involved. leave me a nice comment, rb, or block me instead. ty :)
my liege you cannot trust this buffoon. he doesn’t even begin every other sentence with “my liege.” he‘ll never whisper in your ear the way i do it, my liege. sire. your fuckableness
I always thought the name wormtongue was derogatory but I clearly misunderstood their dynamic
“The Upside Down is frozen in time on the day Will went missing.” “When Will was in the Upside Down the lights came to life.” “I can still feel him.” “Will will be a main part and focus in season 5.” “You’ll see why he was the first victim.” “Season 5 is inspired by season 2.”
Vecna didn’t want to kill Will, presumably even after he killed everyone else.
practically every character in The Secret History played a role of someone that they were not.
richard and bunny played themselves as rich, when in fact they were poor.
charles and camilla played themselves as pure, when in fact they were weaved with immorality.
francis played himself as cool, when in fact he was an anxious mess.
henry played himself as intellectual, when in fact he was blinded by his own stupidity, wealth, and ego.
julian played himself as a father figure, aiding to the care and minds of the Greek students, when in fact he was conniving and egocentric, swept away by his own gain, unlike a true father.
mrs corcoran played herself as a victim and sorrowful mother of a lost child, when in fact she only cared about her own appearance in front of the camera.
hell, even dr roland played himself as a psychologically-forward man, deep in intellect, when in fact he was nearing dementia and a complete gobble of a man.
i mean, gosh, this theme plays out so grandly. putting up a front and hiding your real self. whether for gain or by self consciousness.
THIS but how the only moderately honest character Judy who is completely untainted by the poeticism of lies and deceit gets the most happy and fulfilling outcome showing how truly the best thing they could’ve been was honest.
NO EXACTLY she was the most normal character the scenes with judy were like a splash of colour in a black and white film.
judy poovey is a saviour. she doesn’t get enough credit
NO FR every single scene with judy poorey is so fucking funny like. we did our errands and then we did coke in the burger king parking lot. hilarious
